A 14-year-old from Frisco, Texas, has developed a smartphone app, Circadian AI, that can detect early signs of heart disease in just seven seconds by analyzing heart sounds through machine learning.
After testing with nearly 18,500 patients across the US and India, the app achieved over 96% accuracy in identifying heart abnormalities, though it is currently intended for clinical use by trained professionals.
The young developer, Siddarth Nandyala, has already founded a STEM startup, earned national recognition, and is now a computer science freshman at UT Austin, aiming to expand the app’s use to detect lung diseases next.
