A 45-year-old Muslim resident of Ranipur village, Pappu Ansari, was beaten to death by unidentified assailants in Matihani village under Poraiyahat police station in India’s Jharkhand’s Godda district on Wednesday night, following suspicions of cattle theft.
Deputy Superintendent of Police J P N Chaudhary confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances and identify those involved, with further details pending the probe outcome.
